Children and Schools

Insight Counselling has a fully trained child worker along with four trained child counsellors. A child is considered an adult once they reach eighteen years old.

Children are referred to us in the same manner as adults; however children must be referred via the children's referral form or phone. We try to see the children at their own school for ease or in the office if possible. Please note it is very difficult to see all clients at their place of choice and it would greatly help if you could be flexible. Please ask in the office if we currently have a counsellor in your school.

Similarly to Adults, there is a waiting list but we make children a priority to be seen. An appointment is still approx. 50 minutes and the parent/guardian is required for the first appointment
